Our vision
To elevate the art of Muay Thai in our community and provide a positive outlet for our students.
Our story
MTA (Muay Thai Academy) is lead by our head trainer Adrian Shead who is of British & Thai decent. At a young age he visited Thailand frequently to visit family and that is where he developed an interest for Thailand’s National Sport of Muay Thai. Adrian started training at a young age and continued to do so until he eventually moved to Thailand to pursue fighting and training at the motherland of Muay Thai. That is where he was involved with some of the worlds renowned gyms like Tiger Muay Thai and AKA Thailand. His abilities as a coach really blossomed and he has worked with world champions in Muay Thai, Kickboxing & MMA. He hopes to harness his knowledge and share it with the Muay Thai community in Vancouver and hope to help students learn and grow and potentially compete in the future if they desire.

Dayton was born and raised in Vancouver and spent most of his life in this beautiful city. He has spanned his business experience through corporate finance as a CPA and an extensive understanding of residential & commercial real estate while operating his award winning Real Estate Business over the past 5 years. Dayton started martial arts training almost 15 years ago with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and that was the start of his love for martial arts.
